Pastor Jon serves as the senior pastor of the Lion’s Den which he founded in October of 2008.  Jon and his wife Miriam have been married for 37 years and have served in ministry together for 35 years.

They attended Kansas City College and Bible School in the early 70’s where they met each other and later taught as educators.  Jon earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Truman University where Miriam also earned a Bachelor in Music Education in 1976.

They have served as pastors of churches in Tennessee, Missouri, Oregon, North Dakota and Montana. They have lived in the Missoula area for over 19 years and have two married sons.

Jon served for many years as the Missoula Police Chaplain, and has served on several city and state boards and committees in the areas in which he has lived.

His interests have included reading, hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, motorcycles and sports of various kinds.

Dave is a fun- loving worship leader who has lived in Missoula for nearly twenty years and while he desires to travel the world and experience new things, he is drawn with a strong passion to reach the city of Missoula for those seeking freedom through Christ.  His ornery yet genuine character makes him a Den favorite.  He is married to Melissa and has two beautiful daughters Ellianna and Adrienne.  He  and his wife artfully lead the Lion’s Den congregation in worship each Sunday.  Their worship is a gift to all who experience it because they create an authentic environment to offer praise and seek relationship with our King.

Whitney is originally from Colorado but has called Missoula home for the past 7 years. She is married to Jared Murphy and has two children, Aspen and Malakai. She enjoys adventure sports and playing outside. Her heart is to follow Christ by serving and loving His people. She has a passion to see God’s love lived out through action. She believes that EACH of us is called to teach, preach, serve, love and proclaim the name of Christ to the world; both near and far.
