Kid’s Ministry at The Lion’s Den is divided into 3 different age groups.
First, we have nursery, which is for newborns up to age 3. The nursery room is located in in the hallway behind the gymnasium. The babies and toddlers are able to be dropped off at anytime starting from the beginning of the service. Here you will find caring, loving individuals who will interact with and comfort your children so that you can enjoy the worship and sermon.
Next up, there is Preschool for ages 4 through kindergarten. (Kids may start at the age of 3 if they are in a preschool class elsewhere.) The preschool room is also located in the other classroom behind the gym. In Preschool, children learn a specific Bible verse and a Biblical Main Idea each week, and then are taught how to use this concept in very practical ways in their own lives. The lessons are very upbeat and intriguing for the kids. Previous themes such as a “ranch” and a “circus” pulled the kids’ attention right in with fun worship music to go along with it. They will dance, sing, and play games, all while learning the Word of God!
Last up, there is the Grade School Kid’s Ministry. It is for children in 1st grade up through 5th grade. They get to meet together in the cafeteria which is just through the door to the left of the stage, if you're looking straight at it. The Grade School Kids meet during the break in the service - just after worship. Their lessons are very similar to that of the preschool’s, except it is put together for the older age group. They enjoy and learn worship songs that are very relevant to their taste in music. Lessons incorporate a fun theme and hands-on activities so that kids are able to relate the Bible verse and main idea into their own lives. The kids benefit from having this time of learning the Word of God in their own “language,” and the fellowship with one another is very valuable to this age group.
